As part of Ingersoll Rand, we are committed to sustainability, operational excellence, and empowering our teams to deliver world-class products and services.Job SummaryMain responsibilities will be to lead the design of control solutions associated to the gas, hydraulic and process systems including other manufacturing processes. Play a key role in delivering innovative solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mentoring junior engineers.ResponsibilitiesLead electrical aspects of design collaborating with mechanical engineers and shopfloor technicians to ensure project milestones are delivered on timeUnderstanding and capturing customer requirements, relevant industry regulations and standards ensuring design compliance with safety and quality standardsOversee / lead project delivery from initial concept to detail stage technical design reports, including calculations, schematics, functional design specifications (FDS), and schedulesParticipate in and lead, when required, design team meetings, technical workshops and contribute to the preparation of key project documentationProvide input during estimating, tendering and value engineer as and when requiredProvide technical support internally and externally when required (e.g. FAT / SAT/ In service)Analysing existing processes and schedule meetings to discuss improvement initiativesProvide technical leadership and supervision to less experienced engineersBasic Qualifications/ExperienceMinimum BEng in electrical engineering or relevant experience in this fieldExperience in leading engineering teams with relevant experience in a similar role.Incredibly good understanding of Electrical control systems Engineering & Standards is essentialMust have a strong understanding of the electrical software engineering principlesKey CompetenciesEffective communication and leadership abilitiesGood interpersonal skills as the role will involve interaction with multidiscipline teams.Have good foresight and strong analytical thinking skills that allows you to troubleshoot and avoid problems.Meticulous and logical thinker who enjoys working with different systems in combination with computers.Ability to draw and interpret Flow diagrams (Visio etc)Be computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packagesFault finding and familiarity with general commissioning activities are advantageous to this role.Travel & Work Arrangements/RequirementsBased in Sunderland although a moderate amount of travel may be required.What we Offer25 days holiday and bank holidays (Option to purchase additional 5 days)7% Employer pension contributionWestfield Health medical cash plan coverDeath in service benefit of 4 x salaryCycle scheme (after probation period)Electric car scheme (after one year of employment)10% of salary in shares (after one year of employment)Employee assistance programEnhanced maternity & paternity policiesLinkedIn Learning accessSpecial AccommodationIf you are a person with a disability and need assistance applying for a job, please submit a request.Lean on us to help you make life betterWe think and act like owners.We are committed to making our customers successful.We are bold in our aspirations while moving forward with humility and integrity.We foster inspired teams.Colorado Resident?Bicycle rights prism poutine austin.
