Use the correct tools, plant and equipment and keep them in good condition. Ensure they are safe before use Report to supervision / line manager any defects in plant and equipment, protective clothing or safety equipment Work in a safe manner at all times, avoid taking unnecessary risks Keep working areas and welfare facilities in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times Do not attempt to carry out any task for which they are not trained Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor or site manager Follow work instructions Actively participate in pre-job risk assessments Complete all the appropriate paperwork associated with the task as requested by Altrad Ability to work from mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, general arrangement drawings, electrical schematics, electrical circuit diagrams and method statements to achieve the required objectives. Ability to set out and undertake electrical installation works with minimal supervision. Ability to work on assembly/installation drawings Assembly and installation of electrical components, plant & equipment Testing of electrical plant and equipment Fault finding techniques, diagnosis and fault rectification on electrical plant, equipment and associated wiring systems. Work in accordance with safe systems of work including permits, risk assessments and POWRA Knowledge and understanding of assembly, installation test of electrical distribution equipment and associated wiring systems specific to work environment. Produce good quality work to contract / specification requirements. Preparation and Reinstatement of equipment and work area to safe conditions Key Requirements: C&G Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical or C&G Diploma Levels 2 & 3 in Electro technical Technology or C&G Diploma Levels 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations or NVQ Level 3 in Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Managing Safely A minimum of 2 years, post training experience in the assembly, installation and testing of electrical Plant and equipment and associated wiring systems, working with minimal supervision Safety Passport or IOSH HNC/HND C & G In Service Inspection and testing of electrical equipment Level 3 (PAT Testing) IPAF / MEWPS Why Join Us?
