Candidates must live within commutable distance or be open to relocation support to settle nearby.You'll play a key part in ensuring mechanical engineering excellence within the Hinkley Point C project. Your future team will look to you to uphold safety, compliance, and technical rigour across mechanical equipment.Respond to general queries, non-conformances, and exemption requests promptly and effectivelyEnsure compliance with strict safety and environmental regulatory requirementsReview, challenge, and align design decisions with overall project strategiesCoordinate technical support from external organisations and suppliers where neededContribute to the resolution and closure of complex outstanding technical issuesAssess and manage technical risks across the mechanical engineering scopeMaintain strong working relationships with Responsible Designers and stakeholdersReport operationally to the Engineering Lead and support project objectivesQualifications Essential SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in mechanical design, installation, and/or commissioningKnowledge of BS, EN, or ASME industry standardsAbility to independently manage and escalate technical issues• Desired SkillsExperience working in multidisciplinary technical environmentsStrong stakeholder management and communication abilitiesUnderstanding of welding techniques is an advantagePrevious experience in a site-based engineering roleAdditional Information Ready to shape the future?
