With over 13,000 employees working across 750 sites in the UK and Europe, we provide centralised support tailored to the unique needs of each practice in areas such as operations, people support, finance, IT, purchasing, and marketing.The Role: The Group IT Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a variety of IT, Cyber Security projects across the Group. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while aligning with the Group's strategic goals. Working closely with the Group Portfolio Manager, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, the Project Manager will drive high-quality outcomes that enhance the Group's technology landscape and security posture.Key Responsibilities:Plan, manage, and deliver a selection of IT and Security projects, ensuring alignment with the Group's strategic priorities and standards.Define clear project scopes, objectives, resource plans, and deliverables, engaging stakeholders at all levels.Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers to ensure smooth and timely execution of project activities.Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and issues, escalating appropriately where required.Report regularly on project progress, risks, and benefits to the Group Portfolio Manager and other key stakeholders.Ensure adherence to the Group's project governance framework and promote best practice in project delivery.Facilitate stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.Drive delivery of measurable outcomes, tracking benefits realisation and post-implementation success.Contribute to continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and methodologies across the IT function.Skills and Experience Required:Demonstrated experience in managing business aligned technical projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.Proven ability to manage project budgets, plans, and risks effectively.Experience working with internal teams and external suppliers or partners.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.Experience of managing project interdependencies within a wider portfolio context.Who are we looking for:Delivery-focused with a proactive, hands-on approach.Strong organisational and time management skills.Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.Confident communicator who builds trust and rapport across all levels of the organisation.Detail-oriented while maintaining a strategic view.Would you be required to Work from our York Central Support office on 3-4 Days per monthWe can offer the following benefits (pro rata):Competitive Salary depending on experienceFlexible, Hybrid, working based from our office in York (minimum 3 office days per week)Health Shield Policy - a health cash plan that can help you budget for your everyday health needs and give discounts with supermarkets and other retailersCycle to Work Scheme Awesome career opportunities - you'll have the support from your line manager and a range of learning & development programmes 25 days holiday + bank holidays, with Buy or Sell Holiday options: allowing up to 10 additional days to be bought, perhaps for extended travelsCPD allowance Enhanced Maternity/Paternity pay So, if you feel you have the skills and experience that we're looking for, please apply today To apply or for further information please send your CV to Susannah on susannah.pettinger@vetpartners.co.ukWe look forward to hearing from you
