Join us as a Senior Project Manager at our MOD Boscombe Down site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and take full responsibility for the project delivery across the LTPA and QinetiQ Freehold Estate to ensure a high level of service delivery.Day-to-day, you will hold responsibility for the full project management lifecycle from planning through to execution on a variety of projects. These will vary from general building refurbishments through to more technical requirements and even new build construction.Your responsibilities will include:Organising the Project, the project team and its deliveryIntegrating the project team within the business and ensuring that a Health and Safety culture is embedded within the teamDefining and maintaining under review the overall aims and objectives of the Project, together with their relative priorities, and the overall scope of the ProjectDefining and agreeing an appropriate budget, delivering the Project within this budget and managing and reporting progress against an agreed cost planManaging the activities of the external advisors, including the management of their appointments, via appointed Procurement Team Managers within QinetiQManagement of project documentation to include Bids, proposals and third-party documentation (configuration control)Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager: Working knowledge of Planning Application and GPDO processDetailed knowledge of the RIBA process, JSP Standard, Building RegulationsDetailed knowledge of risk management processes and techniquesWorking knowledge of environmental legislation and ecological regulationExtensive experience of the Construction, Design Management (CDM) Regulations and must have acted as client or similar role on a construction related projectWorking knowledge of NEC contractsEssential qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:Demonstrable experience of building teams to deliver construction projectA professional construction qualification in the form of degree, accreditation (APM, Prince 2, CIOB) or Chartered statusWe value difference and we don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week based at MOD Boscombe Down. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems.
