With zero debt, a secure pipeline of work, and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects, this business remains a key player in the industry.We are now recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a major £30m+ project based in Northampton.About the CompanyThis contractor specialises in public sector projects across Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Defence. They are respected for their collaborative culture, commitment to quality, and long-term client relationships. Their teams are empowered, well-supported, and encouraged to deliver excellence.The RoleAs the commercial lead on a flagship scheme, you will: * Manage all commercial and financial aspects of a £30m+ project * Lead cost planning, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration * Ensure rigorous cost control and maximise project value * Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams * Work closely with an experienced and high-performing senior leadership teamIdeal Candidate * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects (£20m–£30m+) * Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering profitable outcomes * Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills * Experience in the Defence/MOD sector is beneficial but not essential * Ability to work proactively, lead commercially, and ensure high standardsWhat’s on Offer * Highly competitive salary package * Flexibility for the right individual * Opportunity to take commercial ownership of a major project * Long-term career prospects with a stable, reputable contractor
