Job DescriptionPrincipal Power Electronics EngineerJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Competitive, based on experienceAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Principal Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC power conversion systems using wide bandgap semiconductors such as SiC and GaN. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, driving innovation in high-efficiency, high-power-density solutions for applications in automotive, industrial, renewable energy, and aerospace sectors.Key Responsibilities * Lead the design, simulation, and development of high-performance power converters (DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC) using SiC and GaN technologies. * Define system architectures, topologies, and control strategies for high-efficiency power conversion. * Conduct circuit simulation, PCB layout design, and thermal management analysis to optimize performance. * Drive component selection and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (IEC, UL, automotive, aerospace, etc.). * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics into larger systems. * Perform hardware validation, testing, and troubleshooting to improve system reliability. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. * Stay at the forefront of emerging power semiconductor technologies and industry trends.RequirementsMaster’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.10+ years of experience in power electronics design, focusing on DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC conversion.Extensive expertise in SiC and GaN-based power electronics for high-efficiency designs.Strong proficiency in LTSpice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, Altium, or similar tools.Experience with high-frequency switching, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal management.Hands-on experience with PCB layout design for high-power circuits.Deep understanding of control algorithms for power converters (digital and analog).Familiarity with power magnetics, gate drivers, and high-voltage isolation techniques.Proven track record of leading projects from concept to production.Desirable Skills * Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial, or renewable energy applications. * Experience in digital control implementations (DSP, FPGA, Microcontrollers). * Exposure to SiC and GaN packaging, thermal modeling, and lifetime estimation.Why Join our client?Work on cutting-edge wide-bandgap power electronics technology.Contribute to next-generation clean energy solutions.Competitive salary and career growth opportunities.Collaborative and innovative engineering environment.Apply now to be part of a team shaping the future of power electronics
