Job DescriptionAccounts & Canine Health Payable Manager - 3 Month Temporary ContractWe are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for an Accounts & Canine Health Payable Manager to join their Business & Finance Services team on a 3‑month temporary assignment. This is a unique opportunity to combine strong accounts payable expertise with stakeholder management in a role that directly supports both financial operations and veterinary services.The Role\tLead and coach a team of nine Accounts Payable staff, ensuring performance, development, and effective workload management\tOversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expenses, and payments, including veterinary suppliers\tManage payment runs, payroll, foreign currency, and ad hoc payments, optimising cashflow and compliance\tAct as a systems super‑user, supporting platforms such as Salesforce, Coupa, and Accesspay, and ensuring reconciliations of key control accounts\tPartner with finance and veterinary stakeholders to resolve queries, improve processes, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations\tDeliver weekly management reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procure‑to‑pay cycleCandidate Profile\tProven experience in accounts payable management, ideally within complex or multi‑stakeholder environments\tStrong leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing teams\tExcellent systems knowledge (Salesforce, Coupa, Accesspay, or similar) and advanced Excel skills\tAbility to manage reconciliations, reporting, and compliance with accuracy and attention to detail\tStrong communication skills and confidence in liaising with both finance and non‑finance stakeholdersContract Details\tDuration: 3 months (temporary assignment)\tLocation: Greater Reading\tStart Date: ImmediatePlease Contact us for more information.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
