Job DescriptionAs a Software Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of our software products. Your independent assurance work will support the delivery of safe, secure, and high-performance systems used in critical global environments.Your ImpactProvide independent software assurance support to the development, verification, validation and release of software, verifying it is in accordance with the contracted and company standards.Create and maintain software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.Estimate software quality assurance resources required to support projects.Supporting the assessment of the ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards.Assess projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.Participate in software maturity reviews and lifecycle reviews.Performing software conformity reviews and supporting physical/functional configuration audits.Verify the release of deliverable software.What You'll BringComprehensive understanding of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.Experience of working in a high-tech engineering & manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace and defence sector,Experience in internal quality auditing,Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to influence others at all levels of an organisation.Please note this is not a software development role — we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of software processes to provide independent assurance and quality oversight.Security ClearanceThis role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
