With a people‑first culture and a refreshed leadership approach, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape project delivery in a supportive, values‑driven environment.About the RoleAs Senior Ecology Project Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of ecology projects across diverse sectors. You’ll manage budgets, timelines, and multi‑disciplinary teams, working closely with ecologists, technical specialists, and clients to achieve high‑quality, environmentally responsible outcomes. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives on collaboration, problem‑solving, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage complex ecology projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standardPrepare fee proposals and quotations for new opportunitiesCoordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage subcontractorsAct as the main client contact, providing updates and ensuring project alignmentTrack budgets and timelines effectivelyIntegrate ecological expertise into planning and reportingMentor junior colleagues and support improvements to internal processesWhat We’re Looking ForEssential:5+ years’ experience in environmental or planning consultancyDegree or master’s in ecology, environmental science, or related disciplineStrong track record in project delivery, budget management, and client engagementProven ability to prepare accurate fee proposalsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Full UK driving licenceDesirable:Experience with project management software (e.g., WFM)APM membership or recognised project management qualificationExperience using ArcGISBackground in biodiversity, renewables, or regulatory compliance projectsWhat’s on OfferSalary up to £55,000 (DOE)Flexible working options: 9‑day fortnight or 4‑day week25 days annual leave plus Scottish bank holidays (increasing with service)20 days CPD allowance annually, plus paid professional membershipsPaid lunch and flexible hours (TOIL policy)Private healthcare planCompany pension contributionsClear career development pathwaysHybrid or office‑based workingThis is a unique opportunity to step into a senior role where your expertise will make a genuine difference - for clients, colleagues, and the environment.Interested?
