Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.Job DescriptionPlant Manager – Skelmersdale (m/f/*)The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs the Plant Manager for the Skelmersdale Manufacturing Plant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.Here, You Will Make An Impact ByChampion a strong EHS/ESG culture and actively embrace the cultural elements.Understand environmental discharge and emission obligations and footprint. Foster a culture of environmental stewardship.Manage Risk and Compliance – Legal and Regulatory requirements, 3M Code of Ethics, 3M StandardsRepresent the best interests of the plant both internally and externally (e.g. local authorities & communities)Build strong and diverse capabilities and align resources with the long-term priorities and set peoples to successAlign and apply resources to achieve the relevant Plant development and Customer related priorities, including Technology implementation new product introductions.Ensure appropriate performance through Responsiveness, Delivery, Quality, Product and Process understanding, Cost and Capacity management.Define and deploy appropriate tactics to build a high-performance workforce, to execute capital and technology implementation, and for employee and leadership development.Own and execute the plant tier management system for effective execution and Plant Improvement.Adopt standard work for own role and champion for all employees for consistent execution and sustainable improvements.Your Skills And ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Master or comparable degree or equivalentSignificant experience in leading manufacturing plant operations is essentialExceptional organizational and time-management skillsStrong leader, able to define, prioritize and execute near and long-term tactics for plant operationsDemonstrated effectiveness and efficiency in plant, division or other operations management roles responsible for multiple, complex value streamsAble to work collaboratively with Area and Global teamsStrong principle-based coaching and collaboration skillsAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:In depth understanding of relevant health and safety regulationsThe ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong organisational and planning skills to manage organisational changeAbility to develop, analyse and review numerical data to make decisionsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsOutstanding project management skillsJob SpecificsLocation - Skelmersdale, UKTravel expectations - Some expectedWorking pattern - Full - TimeDoes this opportunity and our innovative 3M culture align with your career aspirations?If so, we encourage you to apply and embark on a journey of creativity and growth with us.We look forward to hearing from youResources for YouFor more details on what happens before, during and after the interview process, check out the Insights for Candidates page at 3M.com/careers.
