Job DescriptionSalary: £50K -£60K per annumLocation: LondonExperience: 5+ YearsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and PySparkBuild and optimize data models and schemas for analytics and reportingWork extensively with Amazon Redshift for data warehousing, performance tuning, and query optimizationDevelop complex SQL queries for data transformation and analysisIntegrate data from multiple sources (batch and streaming) into the data warehouseEnsure data quality, reliability, and scalability of data pipelinesCollaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to understand data requirementsImplement monitoring, logging, and error-handling mechanisms for pipelinesFollow best practices for data security, governance, and compliance in AWSRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in Python for data engineering and pipeline developmentHands-on experience with PySpark/Apache SparkAdvanced proficiency in SQL (query optimization, window functions, CTEs)Experience with AWS data warehousing tools, including:o Amazon Redshift & RDSo AWS Glue, Lambda & Airflowo Amazon S3, EventBridge & KinesisSolid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables)Experience handling large-scale datasets and distributed processingFamiliarity with version control systems (Git)Nice to HaveExperience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration toolsKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data platformsExperience with Real Time or streaming data (Kafka, Kinesis)Exposure to data visualization or BI toolsAWS certifications (eg, AWS Certified Data Engineer/Solutions Architect
