Job DescriptionDescriptionJob title:  Higher Manufacturing Engineering Technician ApprenticeLocation: Samlesbury and WartonSalary: Starting from £18,018 with annual progression through the scheme duration.What you’ll be doing:You will undertake your training at the Academy for Skills and Knowledge.  Gaining training in practical and theory-based engineering; learn electrical circuits, aircraft fitting, fabrication, flight line awareness, machining, carbon fibre and Computer Aided Design.You will then also complete placements in Facilities Management, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Infrastructure and Estates covering:•    Safe systems of working•    A technical contribution to the design, development, test, integration and support of products, equipment, systems, processes or services•    Techniques and procedures to solve engineering/manufacturing problemsWhat qualification will you get?Your qualification will be taught with our in house college at the Academy of Skills & Knowledge.•    Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering•    Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support•    Level 4 HNC in General Engineering•    Level 4 Diploma in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing.You will also be encouraged to become accredited to a professional institution such as the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (IWFM) or Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
