Assistant Store Manager – School & Workwear ShopExmouth, DevonFrom £28,000 per year + great benefitsFull-time, permanentWe're looking for a confident, organised and people-focused Assistant Store Manager to help run our busy school uniform and workwear shop, and support our embroidery and DTF production areas. This is a brand-new role, so you'll have the chance to work closely with the directors, shape how we grow, and really make the role your own.If you love keeping things running smoothly, enjoy supporting a team, and can stay calm when things get lively (especially during back-to-school season), you'll be a brilliant fit.This is a hands-on role at the heart of our business. You'll lead and support the team, keep customer service standards high, and make sure daily operations run like clockwork. Your focus will be people leadership, quality, and creating a great experience for customers and staff. What you'll be doingLeading and supporting the team across retail and productionOrganising daily tasks, managing workflow and keeping us on trackHelping out and covering at the Trinity School uniform shop when neededBuilding great relationships with customers, schools and local businessesEnsuring embroidery and DTF jobs meet our quality standardsHandling tricky questions or custom requests with confidenceLooking after stock, supplies and machine upkeepTraining new starters and helping the team grow and improveKeeping the shop and workshop tidy, safe and welcomingManaging stock control, merchandising and complianceUsing store data to spot areas to improve and helping shape new ideas Who this would suitYou'll shine in this role if you:Have experience leading or coordinating a small team in a retail or sales environmentEnjoy keeping things organised and juggling different prioritiesFeel confident talking to customers, suppliers, schools and businessesStay positive, calm and solution-focused when things get busyTake pride in doing things properly and providing great customer serviceHave experience in embroidery/DTF or garment decoration (helpful but not essential)Most importantly, we're looking for someone reliable, steady and supportive, someone the team trusts and enjoys working with.
