Coaches of Lincoln Ltd are Lincolnshire's largest independently owned bus & coach operator and have been serving the community for 45 years.PSV/HGV Mechanic/Technician Responsibilities -Carry out repairs, inspections and maintenance of our public service fleet vehiclesInvestigate, diagnose and record modern vehicle mechanical & electronic faultsAble to work well using own initiativeClearly document faults and rectification work conducted in detail with the aid of electronic tabletsConfidently use modern technical computer systems of fleet managementAble to read and interpret instructions and service manualsHave a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all timesAlways follow safety instructions in respect of your role and the business as a whole and report unsafe acts of omissions of safetyUndertake any other duties commensurate with the job rolePSV/HGV Mechanic/Technician Requirements -Must have qualifications for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles to a minimum of NVQ level 2 or any equivalent international qualification, which will require associated confirmation from an awarding bodyIf you don't possess the qualifications, applications may be considered from candidates if at least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of public service or heavy goods vehicles can be evidenced.Must have good literacy and numeracy skillsAble to communicate effectively and have the confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues within Engineering and other departments is essentialMust be punctual and meet deadlines and work flexibly when requiredMust be prepared to undertake training as seen fit by the Engineering ManagerHolding a PCV licence is desirable but not essentialJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £18.00-£20.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 - 50 per weekBenefits:Company pensionFree parkingOn-site parkingExperience:Driving: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:Driver CPC (preferred)Work Location: In person
