Job TitleAccount Manager - Polymers and Electronics - EuropeSummaryDevelop and drive the sales of additives for Polymers and Electronics in Europe.Execute the Growth Strategy for the region while identifying new trends/needs and introducing new products.Develop, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with customers and distributors.Work closely with Marketing, Technology, Product Management, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth of the business.Responsibilities IncludeExecute the growth strategy for the P&E business in EuropeDrive growth at or above AOP target levels and accountability for assigned accounts.Maintain and further develop the current customer database in the regionDevelop appropriate commercial tactics to generate success in the targeted marketsDrive business development into new territories, markets and applications.Ensure execution of the strategies and remove roadblocks that may prevent adoptionWork closely with other members of the team including the Regional Segment Leader, Product Managers, Application Development Engineer, Marketing Communications and Technology to ensure that all plans and strategies are aligned.Effectively collect market intelligence and feed it back into the marketing teamTravel and meet Customer and Distributors face to face to ensure business developmentQualificationsThe following are required for the roleMaster degree in Chemistry, Plastics or Chemical Engineering with experience in a commercial role within the chemical industry5-10 years professional experienceGood technical and chemical knowledgeMarket knowledge of the Plastic IndustryStrong cross-functional player who can work effectively across teams (Marketing, Quality and Supply Chain) and drive resultsStrong Sales skills with high customer orientationGood technical understanding of complex customer requirementsExcellent oral and written communications skills - fluent EnglishSelf-directed and independent (remote office)Energetic, self-motivatedHigh willingness to explore new things and create new business modelsWillingness to travel on a frequent basis (up to 50%)Possession of a valid driving licensePreferred QualificationsDirect sales experience in the Plastic/Polymer additivesAdditional languages (German, French, Italian)Project management skillsWhat We OfferAt Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
