Job DescriptionIT Infrastructure & Operations Engineer12 Month FTC | Up to £60k per annum | Exeter, Hybrid/Remote - dependent on candidate locationOur leading client is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join their team on an initial 12-month FTC. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a range of infrastructure and wider IT projects, supporting system maintenance, and implementing service and security improvements.Key responsibilities:Work with partners to manage and maintain our IT systems, including Servers, networks, and security tools.Keep IT services running smoothly by monitoring performance and responding to alerts.Handle and resolve IT issues, incidents, and service requests.Identify security weaknesses and put processes in place to fix them.Regularly review and apply system and security updates.Provide technical help and support to colleagues when needed.Work with IT Support and DevOps teams to ensure security best practices are followed.Deliver IT improvements and new technology solutions as part of the project portfolio.Manage user accounts, access, and permissions across systems.Set up and manage monitoring tools and alerts.Keep IT documentation and procedures up to date.Help implement and maintain backup and recovery processes.Experience:Experienced in technical support of IT Infrastructure and Operations (ideally in AWS).Strong understanding of security principles and vulnerability managementExperience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation processesExperience with infrastructure automation and configuration management toolsKnowledge of networking concepts and security protocolsStrong documentation and communication skills Due to the volume of applications received for positions, it will not be possible to respond to all applications and only applicants who are considered suitable for interview will be contacted.
