With 46 bedrooms, 2 conference suites, function room and its own bar and restaurant the Lion Hotel is committed to delivering first class service.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping our guests' dining experience — bringing fresh ideas, delivering consistently excellent food, and inspiring a motivated kitchen brigadeThe responsibility.Prepare, cook and present dishes to the highest standard ensuring that they meet agreed menu specificationsSupport the Head Chef in managing kitchen performance including the cost control, purchasing, stock management, menu development & team trainingEnsure compliance with all food safety, health & safety, fire & security regulationsCreate a positive collaborative kitchen environment that celebrates success and encourages learningDrive commercial performance by maximising revenue across the restaurant, bar & functionsTake ownership of opening & closing procedures including supervision of kitchen portersSupport the Head Chef in monitoring guest feedback and take proactive steps to continuously improve Additional InformationThis is a 40 hours per week role 5 shifts over 7 days including evenings, weekends & bank holidays.QualificationsExperience chef at CDP level or higherPrevious responsibility of ordering and stock managementOrganised, confident & self-motivatedFood Hygiene Level 2 or higherAdditional InformationAn opportunity like this at Frasers is for the fearless.
