Job DescriptionJob Title: Systems Engineering Team LeaderLocation: RochesterSalary: Up to £65,000 dependent on skills and experienceWhat you’ll be doing:Collaboration to understand the packages of work for your team including how these contribute to milestones and/or project successEstablishing the necessary team size, whilst balancing strengths, skillset, experience and development needs of your teamFacilitating dependencies or requesting help and enablers for the team to progressContributing to strategy and facilitating implementation of initiativesSupporting team members wellbeing and career developmentYour skills and experiences:Proven experience leading and managing a system engineering team of six or more people in relevant product marketsProven experience in assigning work packages and leading teams to balance quality, schedule and budgetProven experience in more than one aspect of the systems engineering lifecycleFamiliarity with system engineering tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, MATLAB and/or Simulink.A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g. Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or Mathematics)Benefits:As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Systems Engineering Team:You’ll be part of the development and supply of products across a diverse mix of commercial and military platforms; Head Up and Head Worn Displays, Safety Critical Pilot Control and Flight Control Systems.
