Cavendish Nuclear are seeking experienced Day Shift and Night Shift TIG-MMA Welders to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project. JOB DONE We are offering a competitive pay rate and an exceptional benefits package that includes a generous holiday allowance, contributory pension scheme, 22,5% nightshift allowance and more.The RolePlay a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future.Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.Perform welding operations to a radiographic standard.Conduct equipment inspections.Adhere to established welding protocols and safety regulations, including fume control.Identify and report potential welding problems for corrective action.Ability to identify your own welds for quality control.Comply with established quality control procedures and documentation standards.Required SkillsTIG Welders required for high integrity pipe weldingStructural MMA Welders required for pipe supports and brackets at Hinkley Point C.Suitable candidates will be required to test to the following ISO 9606 standards:SWQ-02 Butt Weld - 2" carbon steel pipe weld - 6G position - All TIGSWQ-02 Fillet Weld - 2" carbon steel pipe to plate - horizontal position - TIGSWQ-04 Butt weld - 2" Stainless steel pipe weld using full Tig (root, fill & cap) in 6G position - All TIGSWQ-04 Fillet weld - 2" pipe to plate using TIG in horizonal position - All TIGOrSWQ-70 Box to Plate - structural steel - horizontal position - MMA.Suitable candidates must be able to provide evidence of:Level 2 / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds in WeldingCCNSG Safety PassportAbout Cavendish NuclearAs a leader within the UK nuclear industry, Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, provides a comprehensive range of critical nuclear solutions in clean energy, defence and civil new build and decommissioning projects.
