We offer clients bespoke, customer-focused waste solutions across Central Scotland, whilst ensuring customer service is at the heart of all operations.Position SummaryDue to continued growth and development, WRC is recruiting for a qualified HGV Mechanic to join our growing team in support of our ongoing expansion. This is the perfect position for an individual with HGV experience looking for their next career change to a market-leading Recycling firm.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our growing fleet of vehicles at our Inchinnan depot.DutiesMaintenance and repair of WRC's current fleet of vehicles to ensure they are compliant with current health and safety regulations as well as DVLA standards.Regularly completing fault diagnosis on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Carrying out day-to-day repairs such as basic welding and servicingWillingness to assist with the regular maintenance and servicing of WRC's recycling plantEnsure all repairs and servicing are carried out to VOSA and MOT standardsMaintain a thorough knowledge of HGV vehicles and productsRegular fault diagnosis and rectificationRequirements of the roleThe successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license.Class 1 HGV license would be advantageous but not essentialExperience working with HGV vehicles and associated systems such as hydraulics, electrics and brakesCompetent diagnostic and problem-solving skillsPhysically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding tasksAbility to work alongside a team of qualified mechanicsCandidates must be self-motivated with strict attention to detail.What We OfferAs a family-run business, WRC truly values and invests in our people.
