We're Hiring: Hardware Development Engineer – Bristol, UK (Hybrid) Location: Bristol, United Kingdom Job Type: Contract Opportunity Key Skills: DCDC & linear regulators, PCB design, power delivery, processor systems, STM32, Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, FLASH, USB, I2C, SPI, JTAG, SERDES (e.g., 112Gbps, PAM4)We're looking for a skilled Hardware Development Engineer to join our engineering team. This role involves hands-on digital circuit development, debugging, validation, and supporting end-to-end hardware lifecycle—from concept to mass production. Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrable experience in digital circuit development and validation.Extensive hands-on lab experience for bring-up, debugging, and validating hardware designs.Strong experience with Siemens/Mentor PCB design flow (schematic capture, constraints, PCB layout).Apply a rigorous, first-time-right approach to hardware design.Collaborate effectively in a small engineering team; take ownership across development phases.Expertise with high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analysers, signal generators.Experience scripting tests in Linux, Python, Bash, and analyzing data in Excel.Circuit design including requirements analysis, functional definition, and component selection.Define PCB layout constraints and support PCB CAD layout teams.Plan and execute circuit validation & verification tests.Debug and optimize system performance in collaboration with firmware teams.Support prototype build, bring-up, evaluation, and validation.Contribute to successful transfer to mass production.#Hiring #HardwareEngineer #HardwareDevelopment #ElectronicsEngineering #PCBDesign #DigitalDesign #PowerElectronics #EmbeddedSystems #STM32 #SERDES #HighSpeedDesign #PCIe #DDR #SignalIntegrity #EngineeringJobs #UKJobs #BristolJobs #HybridJobs #ContractJobs #TechJobs #ElectronicsJobs #RFDigital #Python #Linux
