Job DescriptionCivil Engineer Birmingham Are you an experienced Civil Engineer ready to take the next step in your career within a progressive and supportive Consultancy?An established organisation is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join its Birmingham-based team, offering the chance to contribute to a diverse workload while developing your professional capabilities in a nurturing environment.In this position you will be involved in the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documentation, working independently with tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, KeySign and other specialist applications. You will operate in accordance with designers' duties under CDM regulations, assist in maintaining and improving internal procedures to ensure high-quality project delivery, coordinate with project engineers, engineering technicians and senior colleagues, liaise with clients and external partners, identify and manage risks and undertake site visits to review constraints and observe construction activities.You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a broad Civil Engineering and Infrastructure portfolio that spans both commercial and public-sector schemes. This includes the design of highways and junctions-covering roundabouts and signalised layouts-using current DMRB standards, along with work on adoptable highway schemes under S38 and S278 agreements. You will be involved in external works design such as hardstanding's, car parks, roadways and retaining structures, as well as foul and surface-water drainage strategy development, utility diversion coordination and 3D volumetric modelling of earthworks.We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and confidently, brings strong problem-solving instincts, demonstrates genuine passion for engineering and shows a commitment to ongoing personal development.
