The company is currently engaged on a broad range of major construction, demolition, and infrastructure projects, and this role is specifically focused on one of their highest-profile 'cut and carve' projects in Central London, where they act as Principal Contractor.Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislationConducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where requiredReviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queriesUndertaking audits and inspections of the sites, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findingsThe successful Health and Safety Manager candidate will have:Proven experience in a similar role from a civil engineering, demolition or construction backgroundNEBOSH General Certificate and ideally relevant membership of IOSHExcellent communication skills and ability to work well with a wide range of peopleDrive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety cultureThis position will require an individual who is passionate about health and safety and high performance.
