Job DescriptionWorkshop SupervisorThe Workshop Supervisor's role is to support the Workshop Manager in daily operations, oversee engineering staff to ensure health and safety compliance, allocate and prioritise vehicle maintenance tasks, liaise with Operations to meet vehicle needs, conduct quality control checks, and manage on-site contractors.Key responsibilities::Report directly to the Workshop Manager (WSM) and assist in the operation of the workshopContinually monitor engineering staff's adherence to H&S policiesAssign work to the Vehicle inspectors and engineers in accordance with the WSM's maintenance and inspection planPrioritise and assign work found on vehicle inspections and driver defects.Liaise with the Operations team to ensure their vehicle requirements are metEnsure all work meets quality requirements by carrying out regular quality control checksManagement of any Contractors working on siteLocation:BristolHours:38 hours p/w - 07:00-15:00 Monday-FridaySalary:£45,000 - 25 days leaveAbout YouRelevant NVQ level 3 or City & Guildsequivalent qualification is essentialComputer Literacy is essential to this role; can you demonstrate a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint?Must be a UK resident and be able to prove Right to WorkDo you hold a clean UK driving licence?Do you have an understanding of DVSA's categorisation of defects (advantageous)?A PSV licence it's not essential, we will help you obtain this as long as you have a clean standard UK drivers licence already.Rewards & BenefitsYour health is important to us which is why we offer Simply Health & Smart Health for you and your dependents at no cost to you This offering includes cash back benefits across optical & dental as well as virtual GP appointments, mental health support and nutrition and fitness advise.
