Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join my clients Court of Protection team in their Brighton offices.This is a dynamic role combining fee earning responsibilities with administrative support. You’ll be working closely with senior team members to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to the strategic goals of the firm.My client is looking for a candidate with the right attributes and attitude, so if you have some of the qualities listed below this could be the opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities:• Supporting the Senior Paralegal and Executive with fee-earning tasks• Managing WIP, time recording, and billing to a high standard• Communicating directly with clients, families, carers, and professionals via phone, email, and in person• Managing client affairs including HMRC, insurance, benefits, and invoices• Preparing and maintaining legal documents and records in line with firm procedures• Handling initial client enquiries and directing them appropriately• Conducting legal research• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual billing figures• Drafting routine correspondence independently• Obtaining quotes for services and liaising with external providers• Attending marketing events to promote the department and firmSkills & Experience:• Previous experience in a legal or similar professional environment (essential)• A law degree (desirable but not essential)• A genuine interest in a legal career and the Court of Protection field• The ability to work well under pressure in a busy team• A proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach• Empathy and patience• Be able to manage the needs/demands of clients with brain injuries and/or other life changing injuriesBenefits:• Competitive salary• Private medical cash plan• Life insurance• Company pension scheme• Enhanced maternity and paternity pay• Hybrid working options after training• Dog-friendly office days• Clear career progression pathwaysShould you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.Please Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly.
