Surfacing Foreman

Job DescriptionElvet Recruitment are recruiting a Surfacing Foreman/Supervisor for a Specialist Civil Engineering contractor to work on Local Authority Frameworks in the North EastWithin the role you will be responsible for the managing gangs and delivering works ranging from car parks, new build roads and carriageways in the regionDuties/Responsibilities: * Overseeing day-to-day site activities, making sure all work is completed safely and in accordance with the company’s IMS procedures. * Interpreting contract requirements and maintaining high standards of quality across every element of the works. * Organising workloads, coordinating supervisors, and tracking progress to meet programme and contractual goals. * Procuring materials and plant efficiently, managing costs while delivering value for the client. * Keeping detailed and accurate site documentation, and communicating regularly with surveyors and client representatives. * Coordinating plant and equipment usage, ensuring correct operation, routine checks, maintenance, and timely off-hire. * Developing positive client relationships and continually seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation. * Contributing to team growth through performance discussions, mentoring, and involvement in recruitment when required. * Upholding full adherence to company procedures, operational standards, and health and safety requirements.Experience required:Must have: * Experience working as Surpervisor/Foreman on surfacing contracts * Detailed experience with: Surfacing, Highways, Local Authority Works * SMSTS/SSSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, First Aid.Nice to have: * Degree qualified or HNC/HND qualified within civil engineering.Remuneration:On offer is a salary of up to £45,000 (DOE) plus generous packageThis is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.By applying for this job you accept the T&Cs, Privacy Policy and Disclaimers which can be found on our websiteFor more information, please contact Jack Vasey at Elvet Recruitment
