Job DescriptionAre you an ambitious civil engineering graduate looking to kick-start your career on exciting, real-world construction projects? This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive site team where you'll gain hands-on experience, learn from seasoned professionals, and build the foundations of a long and successful civil engineering career.What You'll Be DoingWorking closely with an experienced site engineer you'll play a key role in day-to-day site operations, including:Carrying out surveying and setting-out activities using modern equipmentMonitoring site conditions such as movement, vibration, noise and materialsChecking survey instrument calibration and keeping reference points intactInspecting works before cover-up or the next construction stageRecording inspections, measurements and quality checksReviewing new drawings, spotting discrepancies and flagging them to the Site ManagerSupporting environmental and safety monitoring on siteRaising technical queriesMeasuring and calling off materials, and organising deliveries and tracking material usage and wasteTaking part in daily/weekly site meetings and contributing insightsWhat We're Looking For Some previous hands-on experience on construction sites - ideally in infrastructure, water, flood defence, marine or similar (placement or graduate experience welcomed)Training & QualificationsHNC or Degree in Civil EngineeringCSCS card and full driving licenceTech SkillsCompetent with surveying and Autodesk softwareMicrosoft Word, Excel, Outlook; MS Project is a bonusYou'll be joining a friendly and knowledgeable team where you'll be mentored, supported and encouraged to develop professionally.
