We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Waste Technician to support the safe and compliant discharge of domestic waste across multiple Water Recycling Centres.You’ll be field-based, travelling across the region to ensure waste is managed efficiently, safely, and in line with environmental regulations. You’ll work closely with customers, tanker drivers, and site teams—playing a key role in protecting the water recycling network.What You’ll Be Doing * Overseeing daily operations at domestic waste import sites * Carrying out site and equipment checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high housekeeping standards * Promoting and upholding health, safety, environmental, and quality standards * Sampling and assessing waste for compliance, and reporting any irregularities * Providing professional, friendly support to customers and on-site teamsWhat We’re Looking For * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Based in or around the Peterborough area * Flexibility to work shifts covering core business hours * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities * Comfortable working outdoors and within operational environments * Knowledge of wastewater regulations or the sewage industry (desirable)
