Job DescriptionHays Senior Finance are proud to partner exclusively with a growing SME manufacturing business to recruit a UK Finance Manager for their Leeds site.This is an exceptional opportunity to join a thriving organisation experiencing sustained growth. You'll play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and supporting scale-up, with finance at the heart of day-to-day decision-making.About the RoleThis is a hands-on position where you'll take full ownership of UK finance operations, working closely with production and quality teams and collaborating with global finance colleagues across the US and Europe. Your remit will include robust reporting, control, compliance, and process improvement. Supported by a small transactional team, you'll be the go-to person for:Month-end close and management accountsCost accounting and margin analysisPayroll and statutory reportingKey ResponsibilitiesLead UK finance operations: payroll, management accounts, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management and controlsDrive cost accounting and margin analysis to support pricing, inventory, and production decisionsDeliver insightful management reporting to site leadership and global stakeholdersManage statutory reporting and audit coordination with external advisorsEnsure compliance with US GAAP and UK statutory requirements, leveraging ERP/MRP tools and strengthening processesWhat You'll BringExtensive UK experience and the right to work in the UK without expiry or sponsorshipFully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)Previous experience in a senior finance role within UK manufacturing or other regulated environmentsExpertise in cost accounting, margin analysis, and operational efficiencyConfidence managing payroll, month-end, and management accountsStrong reporting and stakeholder communication skillsKnowledge of US GAAP and UK statutory frameworks; experience with audits, tax and working with external advisorsStrong technical knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards in practiceA proactive, hands-on approachWhat's in it for you?Their Leeds site is conveniently based, with excellent motorway access.
