Job DescriptionSystems Specialist18-month FTC - £45k + strong benefitsLocation: Hybrid - Stanford le Hope / Southampton areaYour new companyI am looking to recruit a skilled Systems Specialist to join a global leader in the trade/logistics space based across the UK. You'll be working for a business that expedites and simplifies the import/export process through innovative technology solutions. Due to multiple recent acquisitions, the environment is ripe for integrations and digital transformation. This role is a hybrid role, looking at around 3 days a week, so you will need to be located locally. Your new roleAs a Systems Specialist, you'll play a key role in optimising terminal operations and supporting critical business systems. Working closely with operational teams and IT specialists, you will:Gather user requirements and translate them into system specifications.Configure and implement applications for container terminal equipment.Provide daily operational support for Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), including proactive maintenance.Deliver training to system users across the business.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance trends and implement improvements.Act as 1st and 2nd line support for TOS-related issues.What you'll need to succeedExperience in Port Operations, Logistics, or Distribution.Familiarity with terminal operating systems such as Zodiac or Navis (desirable).Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert operational requirements into clear processes.Experience in Business Process Modelling and project coordination.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Practical experience managing complex system projects, including go-lives and frontline support.What you'll get in returnAs well as a salary of up to £45,000, there is also a company bonus scheme up to 10%, BUPA healthcare, 25-28 holiday days + bank holidays, flexible working hours, free parking, 4x life assurance and company health cash plan.
