We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our Property Team, supporting the maintenance and preservation of one of the most iconic buildings in the world, St Paul's Cathedral.Our Property Team is responsible for the care, safety, and long-term sustainability of the St Paul's Cathedral estate, including the Cathedral itself, the School, Chapter House, Amen Court and, when required, the Tillingham Estate. As our Electrician, you will ensure electrical safety and compliance across these historic and operational spaces, enabling worship, visitor activities, education, and daily operational life to continue smoothly and safely.In This Vital Role, You WillEnsure electrical systems across the estate comply with current regulations and safety standardsMaintain accurate compliance documentation including Part P certificationRespond to reactive maintenance needs and undertake preventative electrical maintenanceLead and deliver minor electrical projects, including ordering materials and coordinating tradesSupport ongoing planning for future electrical system renewalMaintain tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring correct storage and upkeepWork collaboratively with colleagues and external contractors, ensuring minimal disruption to Cathedral activitiesWe Are Looking For Someone Who HasA City & Guilds 2382-22 – 18th Edition qualificationC&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing qualificationExperience in electrical installation, maintenance and project deliveryStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitudeAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience using CAFM systems (e.g., Vision Pro) — training will be provided if requiredGood interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across a busy organisationFlexibility to support major services and events, including working at height and occasional overtimeAppreciation of the unique needs of a historic and sacred buildingThe successful applicant will also be expected to share in St Paul's Cathedral's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.In return you'll find we are a welcoming place to work and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral's work, looking after St Paul's for the next generation.Our annual holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidaysOur pension scheme allows for up to 7.5% employer contributionAnd as you might expect we have life assurance of four times basic salary and an employee assistance programmeWe are committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community.
