Job DescriptionMechanical Shift Engineer – Building Services / FMLocation: City of London Salary: £54,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Continental – Days & Nights Type: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the RoleWe are recruiting for a proactive and experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a leading FM provider, delivering high-quality building services across a flagship commercial site. This is a critical role within a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems and supporting the wider engineering team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems\tMaintain HVAC systems, pumps, AHUs, fan coil units, boilers, and chillers\tOperate and monitor BMS systems to optimise building performance\tEnsure compliance with statutory regulations and health & safety standards\tSupport subcontractor management and site coordination\tRespond to emergency situations and support shift coverage as requiredRequirementsNVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent\tSolid experience in building services within commercial FM environments\tStrong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical plant systems\tExperience working on a continental shift pattern (days & nights)\tExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills\tAdditional certifications (e.g. F-Gas, Legionella) are desirableBenefitsCompetitive salary of £54,000\tContinental shift pattern offering work-life balance\tCareer development and training opportunities\tPension scheme and company benefitsJoin a team that keeps buildings running smoothly.Apply today to take the next step in your FM career.Contact (url removed) / (phone number removed)
