Job DescriptionThe RoleAs Director – Origination, you will be responsible for originating, structuring and executing new asset-based lending and working capital transactions. You will act as a senior front-office representative, developing strong relationships both internally across the wider banking platform and externally with key market participants.This role is well suited to an experienced finance professional with a background in asset-based lending, trade finance, structured debt or leveraged finance.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and execute new asset-based lending and working capital transactionsMarket the Commercial Finance offering to internal banking teams and external financial partnersDevelop and maintain strong relationships with debt advisors, financial brokers and private equity sponsorsLead pitching, structuring, pricing and negotiation of transactions, with direct client engagementPrepare and negotiate term sheets and credit applicationsCoordinate with internal stakeholders and credit committees to ensure smooth transaction executionIdentify and deliver cross-sell opportunities across the wider banking platformManage inbound financing enquiries and proposalsMaintain accurate CRM reporting and pipeline managementEnsure adherence to KYC, AML, sanctions and conduct policiesSupport internal and external marketing initiatives, including pitch materials and market researchAdditional ActivitiesRepresent the institution at industry events, conferences and networking forumsSupport corporate hospitality initiativesParticipate in international projects and travel as requiredProvide temporary coverage for colleagues’ prospects when neededContribute to internal business improvement initiativesExperience & Skills RequiredDegree educated or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in asset-based lending, working capital finance, leveraged finance or structured lendingProven track record of originating and executing complex structured transactionsStrong experience in deal structuring, credit papers and transaction executionSolid understanding of KYC, financial security and anti-bribery frameworksStrong client focus with excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously and build a trusted internal and external franchiseComfortable operating under pressure with strong attention to detailIntermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsExcellent communication, presentation and analytical capabilitiesTeam-oriented, results-driven mindset
