Job DescriptionLocation: EdingburghDuration: 5-6 months Rate/Salary: Competitive, based on experience Start Date: ImmediateAbout the Role: We are looking for an experienced Fire Stoppers to join my client on a project in Edingburgh. The role involves installing a wide range of fire-stopping systems to ensure buildings meet the highest fire safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Install fire-stopping materials including batt & mastic, intumescent wraps, collars, and sealantsCarry out penetration sealing, linear joint sealing, and service protectionRead and interpret drawings, fire strategy documents, and manufacturer specificationsEnsure all works comply with relevant fire safety regulations and third-party accreditation standardsRecord works using digital reporting tools (photos, measurements, materials used)Maintain excellent workmanship and site safety at all timesRequirements:Proven experience as a fire stopper (minimum 1 year preferred)NVQ/IFC/FIRAS or other relevant passive fire protection qualificationsStrong understanding of passive fire protection systemsAbility to work from drawings and instructions with minimal supervisionValid CSCS (Blue card minimum)Good communication skills and attention to detailStrong awareness of health & safety standards
