Job DescriptionWe are seeing a period of exceptional growth at DCA in response to a wide range of exciting long-term project requests from clients in all four of our market sectors.As a result, we are able to offer exciting career opportunities for outstanding Electronics engineers with extensive product development experience as part of our growing, dynamic technical team.You will get the chance to work alongside other outstanding individuals, taking a technical role on a diverse range of exciting and challenging projects, from well-known consumer products, novel transport solutions to safety critical medical devices knowing that with your input you can make a real difference to people’s lives.We operate in multi-functional project teams and our electronic engineers need to work closely with designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers and other skill teams to integrate the visual and functional aspects of a product to create class-leading designs.The vast majority of the products we design go to market and are highly visible, it’s great to see the products you have helped design being successful and improving people’s lives.What we expect * You will be able to develop specifications and test documents for electronic and electromechanical products. * Be able to develop architectural designs, including hardware/software partitioning. * An ability to design feasibility studies and investigations, identifying and evaluating new technologies. * Experience with developing analogue and digital electronic circuit schematic designs, and then manage and oversee the generation of PCB designs. * The organisation skills to potentially work on multiple projects at the same time. * The knowledge to provide technical design guidance to engineers from other disciplines in electromechanical projects, and other engineers within the electronics team.What you need * A first or upper second class broad-based electronic engineering honours degree from a well-established university with a strong electronics reputation (or equivalent qualification). * At least three years’ experience working as a hardware design engineer. * Strong proven ability in electronic design with a broad range of analogue and digital electronics design experience. * Good communication skills, both verbal and written. You will need to communicate confidently and persuasively, both in formal presentations and in less formal client and supplier liaison situations. Written reports, quotations and other documents will need to be produced accurately and in a well-written and well-presented form. * Self-motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative. * The ability to operate well under time deadlines and within fixed development budgets while potentially balancing the requirements of multiple concurrent projects.Benefits * We offer competitive salaries, with paid overtime. * 22 days holiday, with extra days accumulated for long service up to a maximum of 32 days. * A 37 hour working week with a half day on Fridays, which is great for work-life balance. * A substantial annual discretionary profit-related bonus. * Two additional fixed holiday bonuses paid in July and December, totalling 3% of base pay. * A contributory pension scheme. * Our Warwick campus with its town centre location is convenient for shops or grabbing a coffee. * Activities and Social fund, various subsidised sport activities throughout the week.
