FRA Engineer

Operating from our head office, warehouse, and purpose-built training centre in Hertford, we deliver high-quality electrical services while continuously developing and supporting our people.The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated FRA Engineer to join our Reactive Maintenance Team. This is a full-time permanent role covering London and surrounding counties, with core working hours of Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.You will work across a variety of domestic and commercial properties primarily within social housing and local authority sectors, carrying out surveys, installations, commissioning and remedial works identified from Fire Risk Assessments.Key Responsibilities * Install, modify, and commission Grade D domestic fire detection systems. * Install and commission emergency lighting systems. * Complete remedial works based on Fire Risk Assessment findings. * Complete commissioning certificates accurately and in accordance with standards. * Cover reactive works where necessary * Document all work clearly and promptly using the Oneserve mobile application.What We’re Looking For * Strong knowledge of the electrical industry, including building regulations * Understanding of Health & Safety requirements * Ability to install and commission Grade D fire detection and emergency lighting systems * Experience working from mobile devices to complete electronic job sheets * Good practical and diagnostic skills * Strong organisation and planning abilities * Clear communication with customers and colleagues * Positive attitude, reliability, and strong timekeeping * A supportive, team-first mindsetWhat You Will Have * Level 3 Electrical Installation * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18) * City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent – Desirable) * Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)Our ValuesWe’re looking for people who consistently uphold and reflect our values:CARE LIKE IT’S FAMILYWe treat every home, colleague, and customer with the same care and respect we give our own.OWNERSHIP AT EVERY LEVELWe take pride in our work, own our decisions, and deliver results by consistently making the right choices.ONE TEAM WITH INTEGRITYWe show up as a united team, supporting each other, our clients, and their customers with respect and professionalism.KEEP RAISING THE BARWe strive for continuous improvement: better quality, better service, and better results, done right the first time.What We OfferAt Fixatex, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
