Job DescriptionMBDA are looking to secure the services of a number of Naval Based Air Defence Systems Proving Engineers.Salary: Up to £45,000 Depending on experience.Hybrid working pattern: 2-3 days a week onsiteSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Due to contracts won and expected, this is an exciting time to join an expanding team.We are looking for a broad-based Systems Proving engineer who will be able to:Work with the systems engineering team and design teams to plan, generate and execute trials.Liaise with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and to investigate and resolve design issues.Generate trials documentationPrepare, deliver and follow up internal and external Trials Readiness ReviewsConduct post trials data analysis and reportingConduct and/or support trials includingLaboratory based functional integration trials / system trialsGround based trialsHarbour trials and sea trialsFiring TrialsTrials in foreign countriesIn addition, the candidate will assist with:Lab Management responsibilities (e.g. maintain risk assessments, asset management, host audits, maintain lab safety etc.)Maintaining hardware and software configuration controlThe job will involve opportunities to travel within the UK and abroad.What we're looking forExperience of working in one of the following environments:System IntegrationDesign Proving and TrialsNaval IntegrationMissile TestInterface DesignSystem assessment and acceptanceDesign VerificationElectrical / mechanical construction and interfacingElectronic design/testNetwork integrationPlus:Be able to communicate with a wide range of internal customers, sub-contractors / partners/ suppliers at both engineering and management levelsBeneficial to have experience of MBSE tools, e.g. DOORS, Rhapsody, RTCBeneficial to have experience of coding, especially PythonOur company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a givenMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
