Trainee Test Analyst

It's an exciting time to join the Digital Trading Solutions team here at AXA. We're looking for an individual to join the growing team as a Trainee Test Analyst, where you'll test SME Digital products using the Polaris ProductWriter testing tools for internal and external systems to AXA to support the business requirements of AXA Commercial Lines.At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means in attendance at our Ipswich office.You'll be required to work from our Ipswich office for up to 8 weeks during the initial training period. Once more competent in the role, you'll then move to a more hybrid way of working. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.What you'll be doing:Use various testing tools within the Polaris Productwriter toolset.Work with Commercial Data Dictionaries to estimate and carry out testing of Productwriter developments.Demonstrate proficiency in the use of relevant front end data capture of software house systems.Support the Productwriter lead for Polaris developments for internal and external systems, ensuring that stakeholder requirements are delivered on time.Produce high quality deliverables and work closely with internal and external partners such as IT, outsourced testing resources and Software houses.Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the key stakeholders.Work with the team to make suggestions for improvements of current processes and use of Products.Ensure that internal Polaris ProductWriter usage is in line with current standards by linking in with the ProductWriters within the team.Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we're able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you're interested in joining us at AXA, please don't hesitate to apply.What you'll bring:Experience of working in a test environment preferred but not essential.Knowledge of commercial insurance in an underwriting environment preferred.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.Experience of prioritising workloads, ensuring critical tasks are addressed promptly while maintaining quality across all deliverables.Excellent relationship management and communication skills.Desire to be involved in the development and the delivery of product change.As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.What we offer:At AXA UK, we're appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that.
