Job DescriptionAssistant Engineer Rail & GeotechnicalLocation:GlasgowEmployment Type:Full Time, PermanentStart Date:ASAPSalary:Competitive, based on experienceMake a Real Impact on the UKs Rail InfrastructureBroadreach Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading civil engineering contractor to support the hiring of a dedicatedAssistant Engineerto join their growing Geotechnical team in Glasgow.This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in meaningful, high-profile rail and infrastructure projectssupporting ground investigations, site supervision, and technical reporting while working alongside industry experts.What Youll Be DoingAssist with geotechnical site investigations, including logging, test scheduling, and reportingAct as a key liaison between site teams, subcontractors, clients, and technical office staffCarry out site duties in accordance with project scope and safety standardsMaintain accurate records and data collection throughout the project lifecycleLog soil and rock samples to BS5930:2015 standardsEnsure site-based tasks are performed safely and efficientlyMentor graduate engineers and contribute to a positive, safety-first site cultureSupport health, safety, and welfare of the Geotech team while promoting best practicesAssist with factual report compilation and post-site monitoringWhat Were Looking ForWere seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a passion for geotechnical excellence and infrastructure improvement.
