If so, apply now for this newly created role.The Head of Platforms & Operations will join a well-established business at a time of transformation, and will be instrumental in building a team that will design, deliver and support core platforms. We’re looking for someone who can drive innovation and step outside of the status quo.If successful, you will be responsible for the following:Strategic leadership – establish and deliver the strategic roadmap for the team, identifying new technologies and ways of working to achieve objectivesPlatform Management – build and operation of core platforms across infrastructure, storage, on-premise and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure), EUC, DevOpsSolutions Architecture – lead a small team of solutions architects, ensuring frameworks and standards are appliedTechnical Services – lead a team of technical engineers providing engineering services across EUC, data platforms, Network infrastructure, M365, Cloud hosting etcProject Management – oversee delivery of key IT initiatives in line with governance standardsSupport – lead a disparate team of field engineers providing hands-on support across various sitesChange leadership – you will manage a team through a significant period of change, so prior experience of this will be idealRelationship management – you will build and manage effective relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels as well as key external suppliersThe successful Head of Platforms & Operations will have:Proven experience in platform engineering and IT operationsDemonstrated success in leading teams through changeBroad knowledge across technologies/practices including: Cloud, EUC, Storage, Collaboration Solutions, Networking, Data Platforms, DevOps, CI/CD and container orchestrationExceptional relationship management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiencesThe salary and package on offer is generous and comprehensive.
