Job DescriptionOur client is a specialist landscaping and public-realm contractor delivering complex external works, streetscapes and civil engineering schemes. They're now looking for a Project Manager who can take full responsibility for day-to-day delivery - someone who can plan effectively, lead site teams confidently and keep projects moving safely, smoothly and in line with programme and budget.This is a hands-on role suited to a strong site-focused Project Manager or Senior Site Manager with experience managing multiple work packages, coordinating subcontractors and dealing with the technical, commercial and planning demands of public-realm or external works projects.The Project Manager will work closely with the commercial team, design leads and site supervisors to keep information flowing, risks under control and standards consistently high.Key areas of responsibility:Developing construction programmes using Asta or similar, supported by clear 2 - 4 week lookaheadsCoordinating sequencing and logistics across landscaping, civils and external works packagesMonitoring progress against programme, identifying delays early and driving mitigationSupporting commercial reporting: valuations, variations, forecasting and final account inputReviewing drawings and specs for buildability, highlighting discrepancies and raising RFIsProducing material take-offs, BOQs and long-lead item schedulesLeading Supervisors, Engineers and subcontractors on site, ensuring labour, plant and materials are planned correctlyChairing site coordination meetings and maintaining up-to-date project documentationDriving high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, including RAMS, audits and toolbox talksAttending client meetings, providing clear updates and managing expectations professionallySupporting and mentoring junior team members and encouraging continuous improvementWhat they're looking for:Strong experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager in public realm, landscaping or civil engineering projectsProven ability to manage complex interfaces, multiple subcontractors and busy live sitesConfident with programme planning software (Asta Powerproject preferred)Good commercial awareness including valuations, variations and cost trackingStrong technical understanding, able to interpret drawings and foresee buildability issuesSMSTS, CSCS and relevant qualifications in construction or civil engineeringWho thrives in this environment:Someone proactive, organised and solutions-driven - a communicator who can build rapport with site teams, clients and stakeholders while staying calm under pressure and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and delivery.Premier Recruitment Solutions Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
