This is a unique chance to work across a diverse estate, combining historic structures with modern engineering systems — an environment you won't find anywhere else.What's the role all about?As a Civil Engineer, you'll join the Engineering, Assurance and Compliance team, supporting the technical governance and assurance of civil engineering activities across a large, complex site.You'll contribute to safe operations, regulatory compliance, asset management and long-term infrastructure improvement. You'll also be supported by a team of highly skilled engineers who collaborate closely to solve problems and drive engineering excellence.In this role, you will:Support compliance with statutory and regulatory civil engineering requirementsAssist in resolving complex technical problems within infrastructure projectsReview civil engineering design submissions to ensure alignment with design intentCommunicate proactively with engineering and project teams to identify issues and develop solutionsContribute to improving technical competence within the teamAssess and present asset condition information to asset ownersSupport updates to Asset Management Plans and strategic improvement programmesLiaise with project stakeholders to support on-time project deliveryThis is a hands-on, highly collaborative role where your technical input directly affects infrastructure performance and long-term planning.What you'll bringTo be successful as a Civil Engineer, you will need:Degree in Civil Engineering2+ years' experience in a civil engineering disciplineExperience working within a regulated or infrastructure environmentUnderstanding of statutory and regulatory civil engineering requirementsExperience conducting civil surveys and producing reportsWorking knowledge of relevant UK standardsAbility to analyse problems, communicate clearly and support multi-disciplinary teamsDesirable:Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towardMembership of a relevant technical institutionHealth & Safety training (e.g. IOSH, SMSTS)Eligibility for UK Security ClearanceWho you areYou're collaborative, analytical and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
