This is a rare opportunity to work in a setting that blends historic facilities with cutting-edge engineering, all while supporting essential national operations.What's the role all about?As an Electrical Engineer, you'll join the Engineering, Assurance and Compliance function, where you'll provide technical leadership, governance and assurance for electrical distribution systems and assets across a large, complex site.You'll be hands-on with technical problem-solving, regulatory compliance and supporting both engineering and operational teams.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring electrical systems comply with statutory and regulatory requirementsProviding technical acceptance and assurance for electrical designsOwning and solving complex engineering challengesProducing and maintaining safety management systemsSupporting defect triage, investigations and issue resolutionDeveloping maintenance plans and electrical engineering policiesCreating engineering concessions to support operational continuityAssessing asset condition and contributing to long-term asset planningSupporting strategic infrastructure improvement initiativesThis is a highly varied, meaningful role where your decisions will directly influence safety, reliability and operational performance.What you'll bringTo succeed as an Electrical Engineer, you'll need:5+ years' experience in an electrical engineering disciplineStrong understanding of power distribution systemsExperience in a regulated or safety-critical infrastructure environmentKnowledge of defect identification, troubleshooting and maintenance strategiesAbility to balance system-level thinking with component-level detailStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsA proactive, solutions-focused mindsetDesirable:Engineering professional membership (IEng or working toward)IOSH Managing Safely / SMSTS / CSCS or similar H&S qualificationsEligibility for UK Security ClearanceWho you areYou're collaborative, technically curious and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
