Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an experienced Private Family Lawyer to manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters within its respected Family Department. Job PurposeManage and progress a caseload of privately funded family matters under the supervision of the Head of DepartmentWork in accordance with the Firm's Office Manual and professional practice standardsSupport business development and networking activitiesKey ResponsibilitiesMeet clients, take initial instructions and progress matters through to completionManage own caseload, including complex family mattersMaintain files with full compliance and detailed attendance notesConduct advocacy and attend Court when requiredTime recording and preparation of billsBuild, maintain and manage a sustainable caseloadAchieve WIP, billing and cash targetsAssist Directors, Heads of Department and colleagues where requiredAttend departmental and fee earner meetingsUndertake file reviews for other fee earners as necessaryTravel between offices as required; demonstrate flexibility for client/business needsKnowledge & ExperienceQualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (litigation and advocacy rights essential)Minimum 4 years' fee-earning experience in a Private Family Law departmentStrong experience running private caseloads (divorce, finances, private children matters)Knowledge of legal aid work beneficialExperience with Lexcel requirementsProven business development and networking skillsFriendly, personable and able to work independentlyFull driving licence and own vehicle essentialConfident using Microsoft Office and case management systemsIf you are an experienced Family Lawyer seeking a new and rewarding challenge, we invite you to get in touch.#INDCATN
