Established in 2009, we are proudly part of the wider JMG Group – a top 30 UK broker with a strong presence across the UK who are experiencing rapid growth and continued success in the market.Due to further exciting growth, we have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join our thriving and friendly Northampton based Commercial team.The successful Account Executive will be responsible for managing a small book of commercial business for existing clients and will be tasked with growing and developing a strong pipeline of new business in relation to various lines of Commercial Insurance, whilst ensuring full FCA compliance.The overall purpose of the role will be to ensure a high-quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements whilst also growing revenue for the business.Due to further exciting growth, we have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join our thriving and friendly Northampton based Commercial team.The successful Account Executive will be responsible for managing a small book of commercial business for existing clients and will be tasked with growing and developing a strong pipeline of new business in relation to various lines of Commercial Insurance, whilst ensuring full FCA compliance.The overall purpose of the role will be to ensure a high-quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements whilst also growing revenue for the business.Key areas of responsibility include:To retain existing clients through active client managementTo build clients confidence in Astute through demonstrating knowledge and delivery of serviceTo identify and contact potential clients, converting to new businessTo communicate the firms’ proposition to clients effectivelyTo generate referrals and make introductions for the client to other areas of the firms’ operationsTo follow Astute processes and policiesTo work within FCA rules and guidance as interpreted by the firms’ compliance policies and processesTo proactively create, manage and follow through prospects to create a pipeline of prospective new clientsTo collect fees and premiums in accordance with the firms’ processesTo build good working relationships with your immediate team and all other stakeholders and effectively network with suppliers and clientsTo achieve assigned sales targetsWhat we’re looking forTo be successful in this role, you must have the following skills:Previous experience as a Senior Commercial Account Handler / New Business Executive, ideally with 5 years industry exposureStrong understanding of commercial insurance productsExperience of working to high standards of FCA complianceConsistent record of target achievement and business growthI.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system, ideally Acturis or OpenGIStrong organisation skillsThe ability to work to a high level of accuracyExemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurersRegulatory and compliance awarenessWillingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualificationsFull UK Driving licence and willingness to be attending client visits regularly.What we offerCompetitive salary commensurate with level of experienceHybrid working environment following successful settling in periodCompany Pension schemeGenerous holiday entitlementLife AssuranceMany moreAstute Insurance Solutions is a Commercial Insurance brokerage based in Northampton.
