CAMM Systems Design Engineer

Job DescriptionMBDA is looking to recruit a Systems Design Engineer to work on their CAMM product.Salary: Up to £57k depending on experience.Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classificationSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship .Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As part of the system level assurance role we provide system level performance, security and safety assurance.The opportunityYou will join the CAMM Family Systems Design team working with a multi-functional team to re-design the family of products as a result of obsolescence. The role requires the individual to work across multiple business functions, leading the development of technology that covers the entire design lifecycle. The team is relatively small so there is huge scope to shape and grow whilst developing your own technical knowledge and competencies as you progress within MBDA.What is the role:Responsible for the Systems Design activities at Missile level for the CAMM Obsolescence programme.Responsible for the bid strategy for Systems as part of the CAMM Obsolescence programme.Coordination of multiple sub-system stakeholders to deliver the Design Assurance and Certification plan.Technical management: successfully leading the systems design and technical trade studies.What we're looking for from you:Experience in system engineering, especially in the areas of :Requirements management and Use Case analysisSystem architecture design, justification and traceabilityInterface definitionDesign assurance and verification planningCertificationProficient Rational DOORS user, able to create and manage requirement modules as well as associated requirement verification modules, within formal change processes.Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills and the capability to write clear, concise engineering documentation.Good verbal communication, listening and time management skills.A desire to develop and grow your systems engineering skills, and to improve the system engineering methods used within the team.Our company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a givenMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
