Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Swimming Instructor include:Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach swimmers of all ages and abilities following the learn to swim programmeEnsure Safety: Maintain a safe swimming environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policiesProvide Encouragement: Motivate and support participants to achieve their swimming goalsMonitor Progress: Assess swimmer development and provide constructive feedback to learners and parentsPrepare Equipment: Set up and maintain swimming aids and teaching resources before and after sessionsPromote Good Practice: Uphold high standards of professionalism and behaviour within the pool environmentCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSQualified to SEQ Level 1 or Level 2 in Teaching Swimming (or STA equivalent)Previous experience teaching swimming to a range of ages and abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practices within a leisure environmentFriendly, patient and approachable attitudeFlexible and reliable with good time management skillsThe organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
