It provides the opportunity to influence and shape policies, practises and processes across the organisation. We use a combination of world-leading financial systems (Oracle & Anaplan) which are developed by our in-house teams, providing the opportunity to directly influence how systems are designed and used.The Finance Business Partnering Team takes a leading role in Management Accounts, Strategic Finance, Business Planning, Board Reporting and building financial capability so there is a wide variety of opportunities to continue your professional development and enhance your skills.Job descriptionIn this role you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding Finance Business Partnering (FBP) service to HMLR.Each FBP will partner specific areas of HMLR incorporating both 'business as usual' and project/programme activities and will report into a Senior Finance Business Partner.FBPs must enable a culture of strong financial management across the organisation, advising and constructively challenging stakeholders to enable high-quality decision making and effective long-term financial planning within financial and commercial governance requirements.The role is responsible for delivering an outstanding Finance Business Partnering (FBP) service to HMLR.Person specificationTo be successful in this role you will be CCAB (or equivalent) qualified or nearing completion of qualification and be proficient Microsoft Excel skills. You can quickly build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, adapting communication styles to have maximum impact and establish yourself as a trusted, credible advisor. Have experience as a skilled finance professional, with strong analytical ability and commercial awareness. Able to interpret, analyse, simplify and present complex financial information to non-finance staff at all levels of the organisation. Can provide financial support and advice, effectively using data, to support and challenge teams appropriately.
