Our commitment is to deliver expert advice and support, ensuring our clients can make informed decisions and achieve their goals.Job DescriptionRole overviewFRP's growing Financial Advisory team in Bristol is looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) to join their team from either an advisory or transaction services background.The successful candidate will work on a wide range of assignments spanning pre-lending reviews, financial due diligence reports and independent business reviews. These assignments include working with lenders, investors and management teams to undertake financial and commercial analysis on businesses in the lower mid-market across the corporate life cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of buy-side financial due diligence reportsAnalyse and report on management accounts, key financial information and the business environmentIdentify and comment on unusual trends or variances and suggest potential causesConduct thorough assessments of clients’ business operations, financial health, and strategic positioningSensitise financial forecasts for key business risks, with reference to potential mitigantsDevelop detailed IBR reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendationsPresent IBR findings to stakeholders, including lenders, management teams and investors, to support informed decision-makingCollaborate with clients to implement recommended actions and monitor progressBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectivesProvide high-quality, tailored advice and support throughout the transaction processWork alongside the existing team to deliver integrated solutionsPromote continuous learning and professional development within the teamWork closely with Partners on engagementsQualificationsChartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified)Strong professional exam performanceProficiency with Excel, strong core maths skillsAwareness of debt structures and bank facilities available to SMEs in the UKExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesClear understanding of how operational issues can impact finances, and vice-versa, such as how operational issues can impact profit and loss and cashflow differently, and how working capital fluctuations impact cashAbility to develop and analyse sometimes incomplete financial informationStrong communicator with attention to detailAdaptable and resilient, with a proactive approach to challengesCommitted to delivering exceptional client service and achieving operational excellenceAdditional InformationOur ValuesStraightforward: We provide clear, no-nonsense adviceConfident: Our guidance is backed by expertise and evidencePragmatic: We focus on practical solutions and tangible outcomesReal: We are professional yet approachable, understanding the challenges our clients faceOur Commitment to You and the EnvironmentAt FRP Advisory Group, sustainability is integral to our strategy and operations.
